Fillings

Cavities (small holes) can develop in teeth from tooth decay or tooth wear. These cavities, if left unchecked, cause a lot of pain and can destroy your teeth. Dentists use "fillings" to repair the decayed areas and save your teeth.

Our dentists offer two kinds of fillings:

  • Amalgam Fillings (silver fillings)
  • Tooth Colored Fillings
Crowns

Crowns, also known as "caps", are coverings for your teeth. Sometimes teeth become worn down, chipped or fractured and a filling is just not the answer. If the basic structure of the tooth is good, the dentist can place a crown on the tooth to repair it.

Our dentists offer three types of crowns:

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and bridges are just that--a bridge between two crowns!

When a tooth is lost, teeth begin to float around in the mouth to fill in the space. This can cause gaps in the gums which lead to gum disease. It can even lead to bone disease.

Our dentists will evaluate your situation and custom design a crown and bridge to restore your healthy smile.

Don't let a small problem become a "H U G E" problem.

Also called Gum Disease

Gum disease is a serious silent problem. It can not only ruin your teeth and mouth, but is also associated with many other health problem such as...

  • Heart Disease
  • Inflammation of the lining of the blood vessels
  • Infective Endocarditis (inflammation of the lining of the heart)
  • Weakened Immune System
  • Higher risk of low birth weight babies or premature birth

Our dentists offer a variety of periodontal treatments for you. After your oral exam, they may recommend one of the following:

  • Root planning--this treatment is used to treat the part of the tooth below the gum-line where brushing cannot reach. It is a procedure to clean out "pockets" in the gum where plaque can grow.
  • Periodontal Rinses

Root Canals

Our goal is to Save Your Teeth

Deep cavities, infection or fractures that extend down into the roots of a tooth can be a serious problem. If left untreated, you can loose the tooth and possibly do damage to the surrounding tissue or bone.

During a root canal procedure, the dentist will clean out the inner portion of the tooth, removing the infected or damaged areas, and replace it with special "filling" material.

For added strength, a crown is usually placed on the exposed portion of the tooth.

You don't have to live with dental pain!

Tooth Extraction

Sometimes a tooth is just past saving. When this happens, our dentist can extract that tooth--or teeth--and work with you through restorative treatment. Dental implants or crowns and bridges or partials are three options available.

Pain during the extraction procedure is a common concern. Our dentists know this and offer I.V. sedation as well as oral sedation and nitrous oxide gas.
